Meta is adding Video Relay Services to Portal to make it easier for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people to communicate with family, friends, and coworkers.

The VRS apps on Portal display an American Sign Language interpreter onscreen to link Deaf and Hard of Hearing persons who speak English and Spanish with hearing people via phone calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Portal Smart Camera keeps you in frame while releasing both hands during calls, which is critical for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people to maintain communication.
