Before you even start thinking of applying for the form, make sure you have checked the requirement carefully and you are eligible to apply to avoid stories that touch later.

In fact, it is not about JAMB result only. There are at least 3 other requirements which you can find below.

UNILORIN Post UTME Admission Requirements 2020

First and foremost, you must have scored 180 and above (depending on the course you are applying for) in your 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result.

Once you score anything less than UNILORIN JAMB cut off mark which is 180, you cannot apply for admission in the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN).

Also, you must have chosen University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) as your first choice institution during your JAMB registration or you have already changed your first choice institution to UNILORIN after the JAMB results were released.

Finally, you must have a minimum of 5-6 credits in one or two sittings in your O’level result. Direct Entry candidates can also check the A’level requirement in the JAMB brochure.

Whether one or two sittings will be allowed depends on your course of choice.

For example, only one sitting is allowed for Medicine, Pharmacy, Law and some other competitive courses like that.

Once you meet these basic requirements, you can apply for UNILORIN Post UTME admission form in 2020.

IMPORTANT TIP: Make sure that your O’level and UTME combination is the accepted combination in UNILORIN for your course of study before you apply.
For example, if you want to study Dentistry and you did not write Biology in UTME, you know that is an automatic NO.

So, make sure you check that you have the correct JAMB subject combination and O’level requirements for your course so that you do not risk losing your admission even after meeting the departmental cut off mark.

  • Please note that wrong entries will automatically disqualifies a candidate.

As at the time of writing this post, the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) Post UTME form for 2020 admission process is not out yet.

However, it is expected that the form will come out very soon.

When Will UNILORIN Post Form 2020/21 Be Out?

Normally, UNILORIN Post UTME form will come out in June.

In fact, the portal was opened last year on the 25th of June.

This year, it may be delayed since the Covid-19 pandemic disrupted the academic calendar of many schools.

How Much Is UNILORIN Admission Form 2020/2021

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) admission form costs just Two Thousand Naira (N2,000) only, excluding additional bank charges.

UNILORIN Cut Off Mark 2020/2021

UNILORIN JAMB cut off mark for 2020 admission exercise is 180 – 240 depending on your course.

In other words, you must have scored a minimum of 200 in this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) before you can apply for UNILORIN admission form.

NOTE: Scoring 180 does not guarantee admission in all courses in UNILORIN.

Some courses are more competitive and you must have scored high in UTME to stand a chance of gaining admission.

If you scored lesser than the score that gives you a chance of gaining admission, it will be very smart to change your course/institution now.

UNILORIN Direct Entry Form 2020/2021

If you intend to gain admission directly into 200L in UNILORIN, then this information is for you.

If you are not applying for UNILORIN direct entry admission form, move to the next heading below to see how to UNILORIN Post UTME registration will be done once it is out.

For now, UNILORIN direct entry admission form is not out yet too.

NOTE: Only UTME aspirants participate in the Post UTME examination. Direct entry candidates will not be sitting for any examination/test again.

Only your JAMB score, O’level and A’level/ND/HND/Bsc (and other equivalent results) will be used for your admission exercise.

I will update this post immediately the form is out on UNILORIN portal.

How To Apply For UNILORIN Post UTME Form 2020/21

The application will be done online by candidates on the Undergraduate admission portal which is www.uilugportal.unilorin.edu.ng.

Like I said earlier, the portal is not open yet.

Once it opens, I will update this post to inform you. Drop a comment below so that you don’t miss out.

NOTE: UNILORIN will not re-open the portal once it has been closed for application. 

During the period when the portal is open, you will be required to fill your bio-data and O’level result.

Before you start filling your information, you are required to read the screening instruction carefully before you apply.

Follow the instructions below the apply successfully:

First, ensure that you have your own active and valid email address and phone number.

1. Go to the UNILORIN Post UTME screening registration portal, www.uilugportal.unilorin.edu.ng/putme_registration.php

2. Enter your details as required and click on  Get Details button.

3. Click on Make Payment link to go to Remita platfom.

NOTE: UTME Candidates who are qualified for the courses originally chosen can proceed to make payment by supplying the required information.

However, UTME Candidates who are not qualified for the course originally chosen are advised to change their course as indicated on the payment page.

4. To make Payment, select your ATM card type (e.g Visa or Master Card) and enter the correct details like Card Number, Card expiry date, CVV. Then, click on Pay.

TAKE NOTE: Do not Refresh your browser while the process is going on to avoid multiple deductions from your account. If nothing is displayed after 10 minutes, close the browser and restart.

5. Upon successful payment, Click on Pre-Admission Sceening Login. You will be taken to the Login page.

Enter your correct details to login and then Click on Continue Registration Link on the left hand side.

6. Fill in your other bio-data and necessary details truthfully on the page.

7. After that, you are required to upload their Passports Photograph by clicking on Browse button and select your picture.

NOTE: Your Passport Photograph must not be more than 25KB.

PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH SPECIFICATION

  • The acceptable format is JPEG.
  • The picture must be digital passport photograph.
  • The resolution must be at least 200 DPI.
  • The dimension should not be less than 600 × 600 pixels.
  • Each photograph should capture the head and top of the shoulders so that the face takes up to 70-80% of the photograph.
  • Show the eyes looking directly at the camera.
  • Show skin tone naturally.
  • Have a uniform red background.
  • Maximum of 25KB.

8. Once you have uploaded the Password as required, click on Next step.

9. On the next page, you will be required to supply their O’ level (O/L) details as follows:

  • Pick the appropriate number of sitting(s) from the drop-down button.
  • Enter all the required O’ level (O/L) details and pick the correct grade in each.
  • Click on Submit button then click OK on the message dialog box.

REMEMBER – Falsification of result will lead to automatic disqualification at any stage.

10. Click Scheduling Tab. All candidates must select a screening centre from the drop-down menu.

You can now check your email for the alert sent to you via the e-mail you provided in your bio-data.

11. Click Print Tab to print out the following:

  • Pre-Admission Screening Registration form;
  • Scheduling Slip; and
  • Payment Receipt.

UNILORIN Post UTME Date 2020/2021

The date for UNILORIN Post UTME will be in August, 2020 (if everything goes the way it normally is).

All candidates are expected to be at the screening centre an hour before their scheduled time with the above printouts and be decently dressed inline with the University of Ilorin Dress Code.

You can check the UNILORIN dress code on the admission portal.

You exact date, date and venue will be displayed to you at the appropriate time.

What The Exam Will Look Like

The examination is a CBT examination.

The examination will be multiple choice (what we call OBJ/Objectives) and you will be required to attempt 50 questions.

The CBT examination consist of:

  • 40 Use of English questions
  • 5 Mathematics questions
  • 5 Current Affairs

The examination will last for a period of 30 minutes.

Usually, UNILORIN starts the examination earlier than the time stated for you and it is advisable that you are at your examination venue at least 1 hours before the time stipulated for you.
