Nigerian Senator, Shehu Sani has taken to Twitter to react to the ban on the usage of police uniforms by film and skit makers.
TORI reported that the Inspector Normal of Police, IGP Usman Baba, on Sunday, ordered the arrest and prosecution of skit and film makers who use the police uniform with out approval.
The event was contained in a press release issued on Sunday by Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Pressure Public Relations Officer.
Reacting, Mr Sani, a former governorship aspirant in Kaduna State stated the police ought to place expenses on the uniform as a substitute of banning it.
In a tweet on his verified Twitter deal with, on Monday, Mr Sani stated the films can be utilized to curb crimes.
He wrote, “The Police should charge movie producers some fees for using their uniforms rather than stopping them.
“Movies are a powerful and potent medium for fighting crime and public enlightenment”.
