Prime Minister Scott Morrison has once again been quizzed about Caitlyn Jenner, after the American reality star was caught flicking a cigarette butt off a balcony while in hotel quarantine in Sydney.

Mr Morrison was speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Friday about the Covid vaccine rollout when host Kyle Sandilands asked him for his thoughts on Daily Mail Australia’s exclusive photos of Jenner smoking a day earlier.

Jenner, 71, who is in Australia to star on Channel Seven’s Big Brother VIP, risked a small fine by throwing her ciggie onto the street below, and the Prime Minister suggested it may be something for NSW Police to investigate.

‘Caitlin Jenner is here for Celebrity Big Brother and was seen flicking a cigarette off of a balcony onto the street,’ Sandilands said. ‘The Covid cigarette.’

‘Would she be fined for something like that?’ asked co-host Jackie O’ Henderson.

‘I’d have to leave that to the New South Wales Police and what their rules are,’ Mr Morrison replied.

Henderson added: ‘She’s flicking a cigarette out on the street. What if that lands on someone?’ Henderson added.

‘Covid or no Covid, it’s not cool,’ responded Mr Morrison. ‘I don’t think people should be flicking cigarettes off balconies anytime, anyway.’

He then brought up far-right commentator Katie Hopkins, another Big Brother contestant, who was deported on Monday for threatening to breach quarantine.

‘You know we had that visitor out from the UK, she violated the rules and she’s gone,’ he said.

It comes after Mr Morrison was caught off guard by Nova 919‘s Ben Harvey and Liam Stapleton earlier in the week when he was asked about Jenner’s arrival in Australia.

The hosts questioned why the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star had been allowed into the country while thousands of Aussie citizens remains stranded overseas, seemingly stumping the Prime Minister.

‘With the whole nation in lockdown, ScoMo, how did Caitlin Jenner get in?’ asked one of the presenters.

There was a long silence before the Prime Minister responded: ‘Sorry?’

‘Caitlin Jenner, she’s in for Big Brother VIP. How did she get in?’ he was then asked.

‘Oh, that would’ve been done with the various states, I assume, and working through what is a pretty lengthy exemption process,’ Mr Morrison replied.

‘That’s not something I could give you any specifics on,’ he added.

Harvey and Stapleton proceeded to joke about how they thought someone like Jenner would have had to personally call the Prime Minister to ‘get in’.

Morrison stuttered at the suggestion an American celebrity received special treatment, then replied: ‘That’s… that’s taken in other levels.’
