The Authorities of Plateau State has taken motion towards faculties within the state.
The federal government revoked the licence of all Nursery, Major and Secondary faculties working within the state.
The State Commissioner of Schooling, (secondary), Elizabeth Wampum, disclosed this at a press convention on Thursday.
In response to the commissioner, the choice was taken after the realisation that over 5000 personal faculties have been working with out license.
She mentioned 90% of personal faculties in Plateau don’t adhere to authorities insurance policies and mandates, including that 85% of the 495 personal faculties earlier granted licenses had compromised.
She mentioned, “This is to inform the general public that the operating license of all private Nursery/Pre-primary, Primary, Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools in the State will have to revalidate their certification.”
The commissioner nonetheless mentioned the train was to verify the proliferation of unlawful Personal Colleges and to help people who function inside the ambit of the legislation, to reaching high quality schooling for all.
