A jail escapee recognized as Festus Okoeguare and one Nancinant Paul Joshua have been apprehended by the Ogun State Police Command on July 16 for vandalizing an electrical energy cable.
The 2 suspects have been arrested following data acquired by policemen at Ogbere divisional headquarters that the facility set up at Hallmark College junction alongside Shagamu-Benin expressway had been vandalized by some hoodlums.
Upon the data, the DPO Ogbere division mobilized his males along side males of Amotekun corps and moved to the scene.
On sighting the safety males, the hoodlums took to their heels whereas a get away car they parked shortly zoom off with some cables.
Different suspects have been hotly chased and two amongst them have been apprehended.
Confirming the arrest, the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, mentioned on interrogation, it was found that Festus Okoeguare was an escapee from White Home Correctional Heart situated at Sapele street Benin metropolis. It was additional revealed that the escapee was convicted of homicide in 2010 and was sentenced to dying by hanging.
