In response, the Chairman, Home of Representatives Committee on Aviation, Nnolim Nnaji, appealed to the airways to rescind the motion on their plans.
Nnaji assured the airways that his committee and certainly the home management weren’t sleeping over their plight.
The Aviation Committee Chairman disclosed that the Home of Reps Management had already summoned a gathering of the stakeholders together with the chairmen of the related committees of the Home to a gathering on Monday, Might 9, 2022 to deal with the matter.
Nnaji who praised the operators for his or her patriotism, additional urged them to not floor their operations stressing, that, “such will inflict more pains on our already distressed economy.”
He stated, “The National Assembly is determined to ensure that the aviation fuel crisis is urgently resolved because air transportation has become the safest mode of travel. It is equally the catalyst of economic development so we cannot afford to entertain any disruptions in the sector especially now that the election process is ongoing.”
