Mystery as an unconscious elderly man is found on a yacht stuck on rocks near a Sydney beauty spot

  • Yacht was found stuck on rocks at Bundeena near Sydney’s Royal National Park 
  • When emergency services searched the boat they found an unresponsive man
  • The 90-year-old later died despite paramedics’ desperate attempt to save him 

An elderly man has been found dead on a yacht in Sydney’s south after it ran aground on rocks.

Emergency services were called when the vessel was spotted on the rocks at Bundeena.

After a search of the vessel, a man aged in his 90s was found unresponsive and winched to a nearby oval for treatment.

NSW Ambulance paramedics were unable to save him.

Initial inquiries suggest the death is not suspicious.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
