Abubakar stated that the state government was determined to promote religious tolerance among teachers and students as well as peaceful coexistence, and he urged school principals to avoid religious sentiments and respect individual rights.
The warning follows a hijab crisis at Oyun Baptist Grammar School in Ijagbo, Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State, where female Muslim students were instructed not to wear their hijabs on school grounds.
