Mr Wale Awelewa, the Ekiti Native Authorities Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kwara State has been suspended indefinitely.
He was reportedly suspended by his Epe-Opin ward within the native authorities space of the state on Saturday.
Rising from the ward assembly held at Epe-Opin on the weekend, the celebration handed a vote of no confidence on Awelewa on allegations of misappropriation and diversion of funds belonging to the ward into his personal pocket, try and frustrate ward assembly, deliberate try and disobey the celebration directive on zoning and rotation of elective positions and incompetence amongst others.

Reacting to the event, Awelewa dismissed the allegations saying he stays the celebration chairman of the native authorities space.

“I have not committed any crime to warrant my suspension as the chairman or member of the APC.
