This post is a guide that will put you through on how to check your admission status, accept admission or reject admission.
However, the first thing you need to know is what JAMB CAPS is all about, only then you can understand the essence of checking for your admission status on their portal.
What Is JAMB CAPS?
CAPS as created by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) management means Central Admission Processing System.
It was created so as to ensure that the admission processes is accurate and as well transparent.
Its introduction was included in the new admission policy implemented by JAMB.
The Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) is structured in a way that turns the JAMB portal into an admission ‘market place’ where tertiary institutions in Nigeria can request for candidates and they in turn accept their offers.
It is quite transparent, such that institutions can only offer admission to candidates who scored the exact or above the required marks, Irrespective of the candidates’ connection.
As projected, all admission would be done online via the JAMB CAPS which propmts consequently, all aspirants of all the tertiary institutions in Nigeria to check for their admission status on the JAMB CAPS Portal.
Also, aspirants are to indicate if they want the admission or not by accepting it or rejecting the admission.
How To Check Admission Status on Jamb Caps Portal
It is not a difficult task if you follow the right process. However it is advisable to use a desktop and not a phone as you may not have access to the options when using a phone.
Nevertheless, if you do not have access to a desktop, you can still find a way around it.
All you need to do is go to Chrome option and choose request desktop site for the complete page to display.
After that, follow these steps;
– Visit www.jamb.gov.ng
– Locate CAPS (Candidates) E-facility Menu
– Log in with your Jamb email and password
– Click on Access my CAPS
– Go to Admission profile
– View your Admission Status
– Accept or Reject Admission

How to ACCEPT or REJECT Admission on JAMB Caps Login Portal
Visit: http://www.jamb.org.ng/efacility/ and login with your registered email address and password to access your dashboard
After Successful login, look for the “Admission Tab” on the left hand side on the page, Click on it to reveal the drop down menu which contains the “Check Admission Status Button“
Click on the Check Admission Status Button under the Admission Tab button.
Select your Examination Year from the Drop-Down and provide your JAMB Registration Number in the column required
Click on the “Check Admission Status Button” and wait for your admission status to be displayed.
If you have been offered admission, you will get a response with your Photo Image being displayed and a text Congratulating you on your admission offer.
On the contrary, if you are not offered any admission yet, you will get a text response with “Sorry No Admission has been Given Yet“
If you have been offered admission, you can then move on to click on the ACCEPT OR REJECT ADMISSION button.
