Samuel Ortom, the Benue State Governor, has reacted to the assault on the house of an APC chieftain.
The governor condemned the assault on the home of a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Usman Abubakar, popularly referred to as Younger Alhaji in Otukpo.
This was contained in an announcement issued by his Particular Adviser, Media & Publicity, Terver Akase.
The Governor in an announcement described the torching of Younger Alhaji’s home by yet-to-be-identified individuals as unacceptable, barbaric and anti-democracy.
He tasked safety operatives to fish out perpetrators of the act and warned these inflicting pointless rigidity on account of political variations to desist or be ready to face the lengthy arm of the legislation.
Governor Ortom sympathized with Alhaji Abubakar and urged him to not be discouraged by the unlucky incident.
