Speaking to fellow MAFS villain Bryce Ruthven on his Dangerous Ideas with Deano podcast, the 43-year-old claimed to earn thousands of dollars for nightclub appearances.

‘After MAFS, I was getting paid five grand a night to go to a nightclub, party, full VIP,’ he boasted.

He’s also started carving out a new career as a podcaster with his show Dangerous Ideas with Deano, which offers reactionary commentary on culture wars issues.
Earlier this year, he was criticised by several Married At First Sight stars for returning to the show despite having criticised the producers and editing in the media.

‘If I get a call up to get paid a decent amount of money to go and have a bit of fun and d**k around on TV for a couple of nights, of course I’m gonna do that,’ he said.
‘A couple of people like Tash [Spencer] from the last season of MAFS and a few other people had an issue with all of us going back on the show,’ he continued.
‘Dude, relax, you would’ve done it if you’d got approached. You’re just jealous you didn’t get approached.’
He also said he’d ‘moved on’ from his bad experience in season five and knew that the show is now just ‘a bit of fun for the cameras’.
