Dembele has since gone for medical tests following the worrying episode and reports have stated there is no ‘serious’ concern, claiming the incident was caused by low blood pressure.

Dembele joined Atletico on a ‘loan with an option to buy’ deal from Lyon in January and was subsequently handed the No 19 shirt, which was previously worn by Diego Costa.

However, he has struggled to cement his place in the team – making just two LaLiga appearances so far.

However, Diego Simeone is willing to give the striker more opportunities to prove himself, according to Marca.
