Military Intercepts 72 IED Chargers In Cross Rivers
Some explosives have been intercepted by the Nigerian Military, on Wednesday, in Cross River State.
Brigadier Common Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Military Public Relations, in a press release on Wednesday, stated after a cautious search of the automobile, it was revealed that it conveyed 72 Improvised Explosive Machine chargers, 121 Dynamite Liquid, 200 rounds of seven.62 mm (NATO) and 82 rounds of seven.62 mm (Particular) ammunition.
In response to him, different objects recovered within the intercepted automobile are navy uniforms and kits.
He stated troops of 13 Brigade working underneath command of 82 Division Nigerian Military on Tuesday 21 June 2022, intercepted a Toyota Camry automotive with registration quantity JAL 492 AA, laden with assorted ammunition whereas enroute Utanga village in the direction of Obudu Mountains in Cross River State.
He stated the motive force’s recalcitrance compelled the troops to open hearth on the tyres of the automobile, thereby immobilizing it.
The assertion urged members of the general public to proceed to assist troops with credible data that may result in stemming the tide of insecurity throughout the nation.
